Version 0.1.3 ·

Recommended for your system

macOS

Apple silicon and Intel, macOS 10.13 or later · 15.4 MB

Install

macOS

  1. Open the .dmg and drag Getman into Applications.
  2. The app isn't signed yet, so the first time, right-click Getman in Applications and choose Open, then Open again.
  3. When Getman first stores a secret, macOS asks to allow keychain access for dev.getman.app. Choose Always Allow.

Windows

  1. Run the .exe installer, or the .msi if your organization deploys MSI packages.
  2. The installer isn't signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Getman needs Microsoft Edge WebView2. Windows 11 includes it; the installer sets it up on Windows 10 if it's missing.

System requirements

macOS

  • macOS 10.13 or later (the Tauri default; tested on macOS 26)
  • Apple silicon or Intel (one universal app)
  • Git, for team workflows
  • Node.js 20 or later, for the command line and coding agents

Windows

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (x64)
  • Microsoft Edge WebView2 (the installer sets it up if it's missing)
  • Git, for team workflows
  • Node.js 20 or later, for the command line and coding agents

Updating

Getman doesn't update itself yet. To update, download the new version and install it over the old one. Your projects, secrets and history stay where they are.

Command line and agents

The getman command ships inside the app. Install it from Project settings → Command line & agents → Install command-line tool. It needs Node.js 20 or later.

Common installation issues

“Getman can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software”
Right-click the app and choose Open, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Getman.app once.
The getman command isn't found
Install it from Project settings → Command line & agents, then add ~/.local/bin (Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Getman\bin) to your PATH. It needs Node.js 20 or later.
Secrets are blank after cloning the team repository
That's by design: Git never holds secret values. Fill them in once under Environments; they're stored in your keychain.
